![]() ![]() 'KeyShot for ZBrush' is a special edition of KeyShot that works exclusively with ZBrush-same features as KeyShot, but has unlimited resolution and only imports ZBrush files. The Bridge is available by itself at $149 for those who already have KeyShot. There's a limited time deal to get KeyShot for ZBrush + Bridge for $249. ZBRush 4R7 (list $795) and KeyShot for ZBrush + Bridge (list $349) are available through Pixologic. (Bit of excitement.) There are three components to this: 8, 2013 they revealed ZBrush 4R7 and the KeyShot integration. Artists looking for new licenses of KeyShot to use with ZBrush, or existing users looking to upgrade to a newer version, will now need to take out a KeyShot Pro. It was such a hit with the artists, Pixologic decided to take it further, put their development team on it and make it the integrated render solution for ZBrush. The ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge, which connected the sculpting software to the renderer, is now free, but KeyShot for ZBrush, the low-cost edition of the renderer, has been discontinued. On Jwe introduced ZBrush integration with the GoZ KeyShot plugin. We're happy to finally announce that 'KeyShot for ZBrush' is available. I am on Mac OS X, I have a commercial License for Keyshot Pro, ZBrush R7 and now the bridge between them. When I select the Keyshot for external renderer and want to start off a render ZBrush says "Unable to connect to external renderer." The Bridge actions are irreversible.I bought the bridge yesterday and installed it along with the licence code into ZBrush R7. If you like a render, save it before starting another! Otherwise, the new render will overwrite the old one. It is important to note that the Bridge will not save your KeyShot renders automatically. This is analogous to creating a new scene. If you change the Tool or Project in ZBrush, whatever is currently in the KeyShot scene will be replaced by what is now in ZBrush. However, you will need to purchase a Redshift subscription in order to use that feature. Note: Even if they haven’t been edited, all visible SubTools are always sent to KeyShot. ZBrush 2023 perpetual license users have the Redshift Bridge as that is a part of ZBrush 2023. ![]() ![]() Modified SubTools, as well as new and removed SubTools, will be properly updated in KeyShot. If you already have a model loaded in KeyShot that is made up of one or more SubTools and the same model in ZBrush, the KeyShot scene will be updated to reflect the current ZBrush state. If you have an empty KeyShot scene, the Bridge will build it using the information from ZBrush. You can have the following scenarios inside KeyShot depending on what you have in ZBrush: If KeyShot is already running, it will use the current instance. With the above settings in place, pressing the BPR button (located in the Render > BPR Render Pass menu or on the right Shelf in the main ZBrush interface) or the Shift+R hotkey will send your current model to KeyShot, launching it if necessary. Please see the AutoMerge function description at the end of this chapter for more information. The most important setting to take into account is the Auto Merge mode, which we recommend leaving enabled. Configuring the Bridge OptionsĬhange the various options in the External Renderer sub-palette before sending your data to KeyShot. To use KeyShot instead of the ZBrush BPR, go to Render > External Renderer and click the KeyShot button to make it the default rendering engine for ZBrush. The process of rendering your ZBrush models or scenes in KeyShot is simple and is primarily determined by the materials used in ZBrush. Model updates can be sent over via the LiveLinking connection with KeyShot with no need to reapply materials, with all changes appearing instantly in real time. The application lists your currently activated plugins. The ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge is a plugin that allows you to send your model to KeyShot with a single click of the BPR button, transferring all SubTools, Polypaint, and textures. Within the ZBrush folder, locate the Pixologic Deactivation Manager application and launch it. Max Faces The Max Faces mode splits the current model into smaller parts. If disabled, ZBrush will use its own BPR renderer. When enabled, any time you tell ZBrush to do a BPR render it will automatically send your model to KeyShot. Using the BPR button, you can instantly send all SubTools, including Polypaint and MatCaps, to KeyShot and gain access to hundreds of material and lighting presets, allowing you to create look dev, pre-viz concepts, promo art, and production visuals faster than ever before. KeyShot KeyShot enables the Bridge between ZBrush and KeyShot. KeyShot Pro can be used in conjunction with the ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge on Windows or macOS to enable real-time rendering of your model inside KeyShot. KeyShot Pro (in conjunction with the ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge) enables you to paint, light, and view your models in real-time, as well as send all model changes back to KeyShot for an unrivaled workflow in creating concepts and product visuals. ![]()
